From all of our projects transcends one ultimate beneficiary – our students. We want to ensure that we offer the best student experience possible by providing the highest quality systems and services from an IT perspective. For many of our technical endeavours, we wish to enlist the support of our students as agents of change, advising us on the direction that we should take. It is now recognised that, alongside providing the highest quality services and support, our students must have the necessary experience for industry after their graduation. With our IT departments focusing on providing the best quality service possible, why don’t we also provide the best industrial experience for our students? In this session, I will talk about my experiences as a Student Project Manager at our Computing Services Department, and identify the key benefits for your department and your students in employing them on a 12 month placement.
