Founded in 1992, UCISA is the member-led professional body for digital practitioners in education. Open and inclusive, we work together to use our collective technical knowledge and digital expertise to help transform teaching, learning and research by supporting operational efficiency and an excellent student experience. Our community collaborates, networks, and shares their inspirational thinking, practices and procedures so that we can all learn more, advance faster and be more effective. We also work closely with technology and digital service suppliers to the sector – helping them better understand the sector’s requirements so that they can deliver the solutions needed within member institutions. We are a registered charity working on a not-for-profit basis.

Events Officer
We are looking for an Events Officer to provide event support, administration and membership management. You will work closely with colleagues in a small, friendly and busy team, and you must be flexible, adaptable, able to prioritise your own workload and be willing to learn new things. There will be a requirement for travel for our UK events and conferences.
Key role duties
- Managing the administration of events setup and logistics, the preparation and distribution of events materials.
- Managing a range of conferences and events, both face-to-face conferences and webinars
- Supporting UCISA Corporate members and securing sponsorship for UCISA activity
- Liaising with venues and speakers and managing onsite registration.
- The design for all post-event surveys.
- Providing organisational and event support to UCISA Special Interest Groups and communities
The skills and experience you need
Degree level or equivalent experience |
Previous experience of organising a variety of events/exhibitions |
Good IT skills including Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and the use of online purchasing tools) are required |
Good interpersonal skills |
Good organisational skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure when deadlines need to be met |
The ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing |
A strong eye for detail |
The role is permanent and full-time, Oxford based, hybrid, mainly from home. There will be a requirement to attend our office site at Ruskin College, Dunstan Road, Headington, Oxford at least 2-4 times per month in addition to travel to support UCISA events and conferences.
The salary for this role is £26,941-£30,942 per year (depending on experience)

Summary of Terms and Conditions
Contract: Permanent Full time, Oxford based, hybrid and mainly home based
Hours per week: 37.5, Monday-Friday with some flexibility to support on-line and face-to-face events
Salary: £26,941-£30,942 per year (depending on candidate experience and skill set)
Leave: 30 days annual leave & 8 Bank Holidays
Pension: Defined Contribution scheme (6.7% employer contribution, voluntary employee contribution 0-6.7%)
