UCISA, along with our Australasian counterparts CAUDIT, has organised a study tour to coincide with the EDUCAUSE Conference being held this year in Philadelphia. The Tour is in two sections with visits to four Philadelphia based universities taking place before the EDUCAUSE Conference and trips to two New York universities and three in the Boston area scheduled for after. Nine representatives from UCISA member institutions are taking part along with seventeen from Australasian institutions and one from a Canadian university. The tour begins with visits to the University of Pennsylvania and Temple University on Monday 30th October.
The Study Tour is one of a number of collaborative projects undertaken by CHEITA, the Coalition of Higher Education IT Associations. UCISA are members of CHEITA along with CAUDIT, EDUCAUSE and a number of other national IT associations. Members of CHEITA will be meeting in Philadelphia and will discussing other potential areas for collaboration.
A number of UCISA members are attending the EDUCAUSE Conference this year, including Emma Fletcher from York St John University who is attending as a result of UCISA’s Bursary scheme. You can follow proceedings from the Conference via the Twitter hashtag #edu17.
