IET London: Savoy Place
OK, we’ve bought a new tool – the work starts here..!
The IT service management tools market is crowded with a number of very similar looking products. Selecting the right one for your organisation can be a minefield and many organisations go through several unnecessary repetitive cycles of replacement. Whilst products looks similar there are often many fundamental differences behind the scenes – not just the technology but also the vendors themselves.
The first and best proven step to a successful implementation is to get clarity on what you are trying to achieve, your requirements and expected outcomes. Building on that and once a tool has been selected, there is a lot of work to do to prepare for the implementation to ensure a successful and sustainable outcome from your product.
This workshop helps with this by providing the following:
- Guidance on preparing requirements, specification and procurement
- An overview of the market and key product and vendor types – key areas of functionality, differentiators etc.
- Guidance on preparing for the implementation project:
- Data Preparation:
- Project and resources – success criteria, roles and competencies, project governance
The workshop is delivered based on over 20 years of procurement in this area. Sample specification and other relevant implementation documents will also be provided.
This workshop will be of interest to ITSM and DevOps Professionals, Service Desk and Service Management Practitioners, Project managers and Procurement Managers involved in selecting and implementing ITSM tools, IT Managers, Operations Managers CIOs and Directors
Please note that this is a small, very focused one day workshop and so places are limited.
