The UCISA Networking Group carried out a survey in 2015 on the provision and coverage of out of hours support in UK higher education institutions. The survey sought to identify the prevalence of different support models and any issues institutions were experiencing in establishing out of hours arrangements. The results of the survey may be used as a guide for institutions contemplating introducing an out of hours service.

Following the very successful UCISA IT Working with Estates event held in February 2012, there was a significant amount of member feedback encouraging further activities around cabling standards based on the presentation from Lee Funnell of Siemon. The UCISA-NG group in collaboration with UCISA Corporate Members Siemon have produced a top 10 considerations for structured cabling document for the community.
