About the Event
The Chest Microsoft EES Agreement, has been in place since 2008, initially as the Chest Microsoft Campus Agreement. It has been renewed several times offering the same two main benefits: reduced minimum staff count and pricing based on that which a university with 3,000 staff would enjoy, regardless of an institution’s size. With the renewal last year, Jisc were also able to negotiate improved terms, as a result of the impact of the pandemic on Higher and Further Education.
Jisc will soon start negotiating the next renewal of the EES Agreement and are looking for input from the HE/FE community as to the key challenges the agreement brings and what improvements you would like to see. These need not just be in terms of pricing or licensing, but other value adds from Microsoft that the agreement could bring.
We will therefore be holding an open members’ meeting on 21st October at 2 p.m. to discuss matters and provide the feedback Jisc need to inform their negotiations. Jisc’s lead negotiators for the agreement will be attending and there will also be input from UCISA’s Trustees.
Please do come along to make sure your views are heard and to ensure we provide a clear sector mandate for Jisc’s work.
To attend please email admin@ucisa.ac.uk to receive the invitation. Feel free to bring along any procurement or other colleagues who would find the meeting useful or who have views that should be heard on this matter.
This meeting is for institutional members only.
