19 February 2018
Austin Court, Birmingham
There has been much discussion about the benefits and pitfalls of Lone Rooftop and similar technologies (known as Position Intelligence Engines (PIE)) that may be used for space utilisation and other applications. Such technology may play a critical part in institutional analytics as universities and colleges seek to make most effective use of their estate.
UCISA is organising a community day to discuss the deployment of PIE technology and the issues (for example legal, operational) that arise.
The meeting will largely be comprised of facilitated discussions with the aim of
- highlighting use cases;
- showcasing good practice in deployment of PIE technology;
- identifying potential legal issues and how they may be addressed and;
- investigating the potential for collaborative purchase or a framework agreement for PIE technologies.
The event, which is free to attend, will start at 10:30 and finish by 15:30 and will be held at Austin Court, Birmingham.
Places are limited to 50 so book early to avoid disappointment.
This event is open to Full and Affiliate Members only.
