UCISA 2010 Conference

3 March 2010   -   5 March 2010
Harrogate International Centre

The premier IT event for UK universities and colleges - Harrogate2010

UCISA is delighted to be going back to the Harrogate International for its 2010 Annual Management Conference. The Conference Committee have put together a programme which addresses your top concerns, provides opportunities to consult with your peers and valued partners, and, over three focused days, provide the best value consultancy you can get!

Once again, we have persuaded an impressive array of experts to address three key themes:

Day One: Our greatest challenge turning crisis into opportunity, with keynote speaker Larry Hincker, Associate Vice-President of Virginia Tech University (USA)

Day Two: Ourselves sharing good practice within our community, with keynote speaker Stewart Buchanan, Gartner Research Director

Day Three: Our people leadership and management development, with keynote speaker Ajay Burlingham-Böhr, Director of Information Systems and Media Services at Anglia Ruskin University

For the tweeters amongst you the hash tag for the conference is #ucisa10

The programme includes Business Showcases and University Showcases. In parallel, we will be hosting the largest supplier exhibition for our sector with over 60 key partners and suppliers to the UCISA community. The exhibition will once again include a formal conference poster session sharing best practice. We are delighted that the conference will be opened by Professor Mark Cleary, Vice Chancellor of the University of Bradford.

We also have an engaging social programme that includes a murder mystery evening at the Old Swan Hotel.

It is now traditional to have an uplifting finish to the event and this year is no exception. We are absolutely delighted that James Cracknell will close the Conference. James is one of Britain's most successful athletes of all time, with two Olympic Golds and six World Championship titles. His Olympic rowing finals (in Sydney 2000 and Athens 2004) were epic battles, won by inches, that have gone down in history as two of the most watched sporting contests. However, since then James has gone onto an amazing number of personal and team achievements.

We believe that this year's programme continues to raise the bar and very much hope that you will join us at the UCISA 2010 Annual Management Conference.
