About the Event

SSG20: Be Amazing Festival!

Dream - Explore - Discover

We invite you to join us at the Voco, St David's, Cardiff Bay for the 2020 ucisa Support Services Conference where we will be celebrating our diverse community's collective achievements in making a positive change to our institutions.

A festival themed conference celebrating our fantastic and unique HE and FE community. Sharing innovative solutions to our mutual challenges, an opportunity to connect with sector peers and to leave with inspirations and aspirations to transform our support services world.

We are working hard to put together a programme packed with opportunities to inspire you to dream, explore and discover. A sneak peak on our main stage bookings include a showcase from the University of Lincoln on their cross team collaboration project to implement an AI Chatbot for the Service Desk as well as a showcase from Canterbury and Christ Church University on how IT have driven the road to Customer Service Excellence accreditation to improve the student experience.

The "Let the Delegates Participate" section returns, an open invitation to you to demonstrate the innovation and good practice being delivered by your teams and what hard won lessons have been learnt - what would you have done differently with hindsight 2020? We are committed to getting the widest range of speakers in these slots and we would love to hear from you if you have a story to share to inspire your peers (please email your interest to events@ucisa.ac.uk).

Keep your eyes peeled for further details of the programme which will be announced soon!

Sometimes people working in Technology Operations can be very focused on the technology and lose sight of the human side of what we do.  Being able to understand what is important to both individuals and organisations will help individuals move from back office to being trusted partners.
