The winner of the 2013 award is the University of Essex. Their submission focused on a twelve-month change programme which sought to provide a modern, centralised approach to both staff and student development to raise digital literacy across the institution.
The entry from the University of Salford was Highly Commended. Salford’s submission centred on their ‘Elevate’ staff development programme to transform engagementwith and support for learning technologies across the University.

The award aims to focus on exploiting staff development opportunities provided within the everyday life of an Information and Communications Technology (ICT) team in member institutions.The focus is on “people benefits” associated with staff development and not specifically upon the successful completion of a particular piece of work.
