Delivering the benefits

Your VLE review will be expected to lead to improvements to the student learning experience whether you are looking for large-scale transformation of learning and teaching practice or simply enhancing and building on good practice already happening in your institution.

You can deliver these benefits whatever the outcome of the review i.e. whether you decide to move to a different VLE or stick with your existing product.

"It doesn't matter what the VLE is: the challenge is shifting from staff using it as a content repository to using the VLEs student centred features such as student interaction and collaboration.

"We realised we could get the same impact from a VLE review without changing the product through recreating curriculum content and providing training and support exactly as people do when bringing in a new VLE. You can effectively replicate the new VLE experience with an existing VLE.t!"

Rob Howe, Head of Learning Technology, University of Northampton

Top Tips
