The PlusOne Bursary
With the growing challenge of talent management coinciding with a tightening of budgets in many institutions, UCISA is continuing to support its members by enabling delegates booked on the full residential package for a UCISA conference to bring along an institutional colleague.
Delegates need to have booked their place ahead of the early bird deadline to refer a colleague. Nomination forms for the PlusOne bursary can be found on the relevant event page on the UCISA portal.
A limited number of places per conference are available for this bursary funding, which is intended to support colleagues who will benefit from the experience of attending UCISA conferences, but whose institution would not have the budget for them to do so. As part of UCISA’s commitment to inclusion, we welcome referrals from colleagues from under-represented backgrounds. Preference will be given to those who have not attended a UCISA conference before, but delegates can nominate anyone from their institution.
Before referring a colleague, please ensure that you discuss referral with them first and make them aware that to be eligible, they will be required to share their findings from the relevant conference with their institutional colleagues’ post-event, as well as disseminate their experience in a format of their choice that may be published on the UCISA website and/or social media channels.
Other Bursaries
UCISA can offer additional support for institutional members through other bursaries. Support is reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Please contact UCISA if you believe that additional support is required.
