Students' views of Generative AI and its deployment in learning and teaching
About the Event
Join WanTing Wu, UX Specialist at the University of Glasgow for a session exploring students’ experiences with Generative AI (GenAI) tools in learning at the University of Glasgow.
Through interviews and focus groups, the project investigates where GenAI is most helpful—such as in assessment preparation, note-taking, and revision—and why some students choose not to use it. The study also captures learners’ expectations for how GenAI should be integrated into education and the University’s role in supporting ethical, effective use.
Findings are based on qualitative analysis and aim to inform inclusive, student-centred strategies for GenAI adoption in higher education.
