Continuous improvement can mean different things in different organisations. Join us as Cranfield University and University of Leeds share how continuous improvement initiatives are delivering measurable benefits across their respective institutions.

Alex Cossey, Programme Manager and Jon Lane, Interim Head of IT Projects from Cranfield University will share their company-wide Process Improvement Scheme that Cranfield University has implemented. From its initial concept in 2025 to its launch in February 2026 and continued growth today, the programme has established a dedicated team focused on identifying opportunities, implementing solutions, generating measurable savings and enhancing services for students and staff.

From the University of Leeds, Ann-Marie, Director of Digital Engagement & Experience and Naomi Tickhill, Head of IT: Corporate Services will share about their Microsoft Digital Champion initiative, tracing its development from an initial concept to a highly successful University-wide programme with 300 Champions. The programme has helped to reduce Microsoft storage costs, influencing behaviours, and establishing a sustainable model for the future. They will also share how the Champions have grown more confident using the available tools, supported colleagues by sharing their knowledge, and contributed to the creation of new resources through their engagement.
