PlusOne Bursary Scheme

UCISA is pleased to announce that it is continuing to support its Bursary-funded PlusOne scheme UCISA26 Leadership Summit.

With the growing challenge of talent management coinciding with a tightening of budgets in many institutions, UCISA is continuing to support its members by enabling delegates attending the full UCISA26 Leadership Summit programme to bring along an institutional colleague to UCISA26.

The UCISA PlusOne Bursary Scheme will enable UCISA members who have booked to attend the conference by the early bird deadline to refer an institutional colleague by completing this PlusOne nomination form.

Delegates can nominate a colleague from their institution for a PlusOne Bursary funded place regardless of whether they have attended previous UCISA conferences.

Previous recipients of the PlusOne scheme have said:

"UCISA25 was an enriching experience that I thoroughly enjoyed. The combination of insightful sessions, supplier interactions, and networking opportunities made it a valuable event. I'd jump at the chance to attend again in the future."

and

“UCISA 2025 Event opened up to me a whole new world where all HE organisations are experiencing the same issues and realise the need to work together and achieve a level of collaboration that is UK wide. This is where UCISA plays a very important role by being the glue between the HE organisations, the commercial suppliers and the sector as a whole. How this is achieved i think will require further events to really push on the collaborative button.

  • Expertly organised event
  • Attended by great people
  • In an open and honest forum

Go, engage, discuss and learn - your paths will cross at again some point in the HE world.” .

A limited number of places are available for this bursary funding, which is intended to support colleagues who will benefit from the experience of attending UCISA26, but whose institution would not have the budget for them to do so. As part of UCISA’s commitment to inclusion, we welcome referrals from colleagues from under-represented backgrounds. Preference will be given to those who have not attended a UCISA conference before, but delegates can nominate anyone from their institution.

Before referring a colleague, please ensure that you discuss referral with them first and make them aware that to be eligible, they will be required to share their findings from

the conference with their institutional colleagues’ post-event, as well as disseminate their experience in a format of their choice that may be published on the UCISA website and/or social media channels.

Referees must have booked their place for the full UCISA26 Leadership Summit and submitted their nomination by 30th January 2026, and in the PlusOne nomination form, explain the reasons why their nominated colleague deserves a bursary-funded place at UCISA26.

Successful nominees will be contacted by the UCISA Events team regarding booking their full place at UCISA26.
