About the Event

The UCISA Spotlight on Digital Capabilities Conference is the annual virtual event run by the Digital Capabilities Community (DCG) and the Digital Education Community (DEG). It brings together university leaders, IT professionals, learning technologists, digital skills trainers, and academics to discuss the latest trends and challenges in digital capabilities.

With rapid technological advancement and tighter budget constraints, institutions are under increasing pressure to achieve more with fewer resources. This event delves into:

  • Empowering your institution by developing digital confidence, helping staff and students make the most of both emerging technologies and existing tools—supporting sustainable, effective digital practices across campus.
  • Discovering the art of the possible in higher education, where agentic AI and innovative approaches to cost-efficiency can unlock new opportunities without compromising academic integrity or student outcomes.
  • Strengthening your institution’s impact through strategic partnerships—ranging from collaborations with professional bodies and academic peers to working with vendors, students, and fostering cross-institutional collaboration—because progress accelerates when we build on shared knowledge rather than reinvent the wheel.

The event will feature keynote speakers from leading universities and organisations with the opportunity to follow-up with a collaboration community day later in the year.

Should you or a colleague have an idea in mind for presentations, workshops or panel discussions that covers one of these topics, please complete this form by Friday 13th February 2026.
