Two Universities, One Vision: Making Digital Collaboration Work for a New Medical School Transforming Lives
About the Event
This webinar explores how the IT teams of Imperial College London and University of Cumbria collaborated to build the digital foundations for the new Pears Cumbria School of Medicine, which aims to encourage students to remain in the area after graduation, helping tackle the regional shortage of doctors and ultimately improve health outcomes in Cumbria and beyond. The partnership required innovative solutions and joint ways of working to implement shared IT systems, governance, and service delivery enabling a seamless experience for our students and staff, e.g. students using only one identity accessing systems of both universities. We will share our journey and lessons on enabling this unique cross-university collaboration that supports regional health and educational transformation.
