About the Event

This session will provide an opportunity to explore the challenges and opportunities of Generative AI. AI is already having a significant impact on education and research, especially around assessment and curriculum. We also seen the early signs of benefits around efficiently and personal productivity in many areas. There is much interest and discussion around tools such as Microsoft Copilot 365, but concerns about cost and effectiveness. Providing a strategic institutional response and approach is a challenge, particularly because of the pace of change, but also critically important, both to manage the risks, for example around data security and intellectual property rights, and to ensure we are maximising the benefits. In this session we will explore these issues and discuss paths forwards.
