Ian Anderson, UCISA's project lead for the successful development of the first generic Capability Model
specifically for UK higher education institutions, is to present to a meeting of the Russell Universities Group IT Directors forum (RUGIT) at Manchester University on April 26 2018.
The UCISA model, recently featured on influential online sector news website WonkHE.com
, is attracting widespread attention in the sector following completion of a 12-month development project which involved input from five universities and HESA.
"The response has been amazing," said Ian, who also leads UCISA's Enterprise Architecture Community of Practice
. "I spoke a few days ago at UCISA London's IT Forum and found that three universities were already working on integrating the UCISA model into their change programmes and a number of attendees had come along specifically to hear more about it."
Ian, who works in Enterprise Architecture (EA) Development as part of IT Services at Coventry University, said the RUGIT Special Interest Group of IT Heads from leading UK Research Universities had invited him to speak about UCISA's UK Capability Model, Enterprise Architecture and related governance.
