Aims and Objectives


Aims

The aims of UCISA-PCMG are:
  • To provide a forum for the discussion, development and sharing of information and resources on best practice approaches to project management, business change management and related activities within UK higher and further education institutions.
  • To provide a support network for practitioners within the sector
  • To promote, support and develop effective project and business change management as professional disciplines and enablers within higher and further education
  • To consider the need for and, where appropriate, to develop and to advise the UCISA Executive on common views, approaches and policies for project management and business change management.
  • To establish and foster links with related groups in the UK and internationally.

Functioning 

UCISA-PCMG carries out its functions principally by:

  • providing a discussion forum and support network for project and busines change management practitioners within UK higher and further education institutions
  • collecting and sharing relevant information and resources through workshops, face to face meetings, on line collaboration, mailing lists, surveys, polls, the UCISA website and other appropriate channels
  • meeting as a committee at least quarterly
  • organising at least one annual event for practitioners and other interested parties
  • organising sub-groups to address specific initiatives or emerging requirements
  • enabling a peer review service for projects and business changes activities which draws on the skills and experience of practitioners in the sector  
  • co-operating with other UCISA groups and working parties to address specific initiatives or emerging requirements
  • advising the UCISA Executive on common views, approaches and policies 
  • establishing and fostering links with related groups in the UK and internationally
