Holywell Park, Loughborough University
A one day event focusing on a Cloud Computing which is gaining momentum in the UK academic sector.
This is a perfect opportunity to take a look at the innovation and challenges with Cloud Computing and to reflect on the benefits it can bring to your organisation.
The sessions throughout the day are designed to give a flavour of Cloud Computing possibilities as well as case studies from early adopters; whether you are a strategist or technical member of staff, there will be a session right for you.
The day will focus on Infrastructure and Networking provision and is jointly managed by the Infrastructure and Networking groups within UCISA.
From Software as a Service (SaaS) to full Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Cloud Computing can offer one solution to the myriad of challenges facing the community at this current time.
From budget cuts, tough carbon targets and an escalating appetite for technology, it is the right time to consider how Cloud Computing can help.
The event will be on the Loughborough University campus in the Sir Denis Rooke Building.
This is located at Holywell Park with ample free parking, good transport links via the M1, East Midlands Airport and a 10/20 minute shuttle bus direct to the railway station situated on the Midland Main Line (London in 1 hour 27 minutes).
