Amber Miro Memorial Award - 2015

University of Aberdeen – the Learners’ Toolkit

The winner of the 2015 Amber Miro Memorial Award is the University of Aberdeen. Their submission focused on the Learners’ Toolkit – a system designed to assist students of all ability to use the facilities at the university. The panel liked the simplicity of the solution and the innovative approach to connecting to students of differing levels of technical expertise. The fact that the Learners’ Toolkit has resulted in four times the amount of training being delivered as a conventional approach demonstrates that this is a powerful and effective way of delivering online training. The panel were also encouraged that the solution works well on a range of devices.
