UCISA Guardian supplement

The recently announced partnership between UCISA and JISC coincides with a UCISA Guardian supplement published today (31 March 2009). The articles raises awareness of UCISA’s recent ‘Top Concerns’ poll of IT Service Directors and education professionals.

The supplement also describes work already being done by both organisations with relation to the principal concerns. It investigates how technology and globalisation are affecting higher education and the student experience. It also considers the longer-term sustainability of IT; finance and funding on ever-tightening budgets; outsourcing email and data storage; and the skills gap between learners and teachers.
