Guided Tour of the University’s brand new campus − MediaCityUK

The event is being hosted at the brand new Salford campus at MediaCityUK (where the BBC is now based).  You will be based in state-of-the-art rooms and will have the opportunity to have a guided campus tour by the Academic Director, Andrew Cooper, at 09:15. Network and socialise the night before

Why not make this event an even more social one and stay the night before? We (the USG Committee) would love to meet you for a meal and/or drinks the night before and some useful networking!  We have arranged a private dining room at the HolidayInn MediaCityUK. Three course set dinner for £24 (drinks excluded).  If you wish to book this dinner please email caroline.norris@ucl.ac.uk.

You could also explore Salford and/or Manchester. Salford is home to the fantastic Imperial War Museum (North), the Lowry Theatre and gallery, and Ordsall Hall and is very close to Manchester United’s ground.

Accommodation

There is a choice of accommodation adjacent to, or within a short distance of, MediaCity UK.  We have negotiated a special rate at the Holiday Inn Media City of £89 inc full breakfast plus VAT.  Please book the hotel directly quoting UCISA and the name of this event. Alternatively there is an Etap a short distance away for £18 basic room, no breakfast.

There are also serviced apartments available, with a choice of two or three bedrooms. These include free wifi.
