Masterclass: Fresh ideas for successful IT training

9 December 2010
University of Salford

Following the success of the fully-subscribed Training Masterclass event held in December 2009 in Oxford, the User Skills Working Group are pleased to be re-running the Masterclass Fresh Ideas for Successful IT Training on Thursday 9th December 2010 at the University of Salford.

This one day Masterclass is aimed at IT trainers, managers and support staff responsible for the development and delivery of end-user IT training.

The format of the day will allow a range of presenters to share best practice in IT training for staff and/or students in higher education through a series of participative masterclass workshops.   Delegates will engage in a series of hands-on sessions, each demonstrating a different method or approach to IT training, followed by a group discussion of the activity and its potential for wider application.

Topics covered included:
  • innovative delivery methods
  • new solutions to old problems
  • shared services and collaboration
  • successful techniques
  • promotion of  informal learning
