User Support Conference 2006
5 July 2006
- 7 July 2006 Homerton College, University of Cambridge
Enhancing the customer experience in a changing world The UCISA User Support conference is organised by two of UCISA's groups, Teaching, Learning and Information (UCISA-TLIG) and Staff Development (UCISA-SDG). It brings together managers and practitioners from a wide range of areas involved in supporting and delivering IT and Information customer services to share experience, ideas, hear from leading experts and influence UCISA's future work. The Conference features a rich and varied programme of keynote speakers, plenary sessions and parallel sessions across number of strands, including learning and teaching, user training, skills development, help desks, web development and staff development. Discussion sessions allow delegates to share experiences on the most challenging issues of the day. Supplier presentations point to potential solutions. A full social programme provides plenty of opportunities for networking and relaxation. This year's conference venue, Homerton College, Cambridge, provides a combination of excellent facilities and attractive buildings and grounds in the historic city of Cambridge. The theme of the conference will be enhancing the customer experience in a changing world and will attempt to address the following key issues:
- How do we put customer experience at the heart of everything we do?
- How should we organise ourselves and our services to ensure we do this?
- How will technological developments and the rapidly changing environment of higher education affect the customer experience?
- What will the learning and teaching environment of the future look like?
- How will increasing student expectations impact the type and way we deliver services?
