IT Training Skills
7 September 2009
- 9 September 2009 University of Leeds
This three day, fully residential workshop has been developed in recognition of the fact that HE staff from all kinds of backgrounds now find themselves being asked to deliver IT training. Many have had little or no training themselves in delivering such courses, or even the opportunity to consider in detail what is involved.
The content of this workshop is suitable for any member of non-teaching staff who needs to develop the skills required to run practical based IT training courses. It is particularly suitable for those training in an environment where the tutor and participants make substantial use of desktop computers.
The course will help you to...
- understand the teaching/learning process;
- build your skills in delivering IT training;
- build your confidence as a tutor in the IT training situation;
- exchange experiences with colleagues working in the sector.
The course will also provide you with...
- an opportunity to practice your skills in a supported environment;
- ideas to try in your own institution;
- documentation and links to other resources;
- a network of colleagues from the sector with whom you can exchange ideas in the future.
