Induction
To foster the right approach to the Programme all delegates must complete the online induction. To help, each delegate will have the chance to raise issues and concerns and check their plans for the course with a tutor (by ‘phone or email) prior to the first residential. Delegates who have not completed the Induction and confirmed this with a tutor cannot progress onto the main programme.
Blended learningDelegates can take control of their own learning on this programme with 24/7 access to the online resources for 12 months from registration. Although the core topics listed below will be presented during the two residentials most of the learning will be self-directed. Successful delegates will need to spend around 10 hours during the programme learning from the online resources, reflecting on their progress and working on their projects. Some learners find this challenging at first as it requires careful planning and time management. To help, all delegates complete a comprehensive Personal Development Plan against the list of topics which is reviewed online by the course tutors at key milestones during the Programme.
The Virtual Learning Environment (VLE)The VLE provides 24/7 access to high quality learning resources covering the complete range of topics identified by the research described above.
The projectParticipants will undertake a work-based project of their choosing developing and applying a range of “light-touch” project management techniques.
The residential sessions Two residentials sessions are scheduled to build networks, share good practice, work on core topic areas and develop team and personal management skills.
