(The term 'networking' includes telephony as well as data.) The group is steered by a committee that consists of members proposed by the heads of computer services in UCISA institutions and agreed by UCISA. This contact is normally the senior manager who responsible for network services at each Institution. Members will be sent (via the UCISA-NG@jiscmail.ac.uk) information about the activities of UCISA-NG and of its steering committee. From time-to-time UCISA-NG organises events on network issues and prepares occasional reports on network and security issues. The UCISA-NG group works closely with JANET (UK), which has representation on the committee.
