The UCISA Infrastructure Group will present some best-practice techniques from the leading IT analyst, Gartner; showcase how the University of Westminster has saved £1m by outsourcing their email; showcase how Liverpool John Moores University has saved money by taking control of its printing. The Deputy Government CIO will also take us through the Government's new ICT strategy and how they hope to save £millions in these testing times.
The workshop will show how institutions developed the business case (which may be of interest to senior managers) as well as details of how the technology was deployed (and any challenges that arose along the way).
