Chirs Yapp biographyChris Yapp is an independent consultant, working in technology and futures thinking. He has 30 years experience in Industry working most recently at HP, Microsoft and Capgemini. Chris has been involved in the future of education for 20 years and has written and lectured in many countries on the challenges of personalised learning, lifelong learning, educational transformation and the knowledge economy. His most recent book is “Personalizing Learning in the 21st century”. He is an associate of the think Tank DEMOS. He is a Patron of the National Association of Able Children in Education, NACE. He is a Trustee of World e-citizens, part of Mirandanet, an educational charity. He is a past Trustee of the School for Social Entrepreneurs. He is a member of the UNESCO UK working group on the Information Society. Chris is a Senior Associate Fellow of the Institute of Governance and Public Management at Warwick University. Chris is a Graduate of Magdalen College, Oxford. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of the Arts. He is also a Fellow of the British Computer Society for whom he blogs on future technologies and impacts on society. He holds an honorary doctorate from Glasgow Caledonian University.
