Managers' Forum - Supporting users with disabilities

21 October 2008
Aston Business School

In December 2006 a new duty to promote disability equality came into force for public sector bodies. The duty requires institutions to build disability equality into all activities, promoting positive attitudes towards disabled people and taking steps to meet their needs. But what has this meant for Information Services within institutions? What steps are being taken to implement the requirements of the Scheme and make disability equality a mainstream activity?

This forum will look at how the needs of the disabled are being met in institutions and the tools that can be deployed to improve accessibility.

Event details to follow, in the meantime please contact admin@ucisa.ac.uk with any questions.
