CISG - HESA, SLC and UCAS Briefing

We are pleased to announce the continuation of the tripartite approach which brings together HESA, UCAS and SLC to give them a platform to report on current developments and future plans, and to respond to the queries and concerns of delegates.

The target audience is senior managers with development responsibilities in these areas, giving them the opportunity to discuss issues with representatives from the three organizations and with colleagues within the sector.

This seminar is very much a regular feature in the UCISA-CISG calendar and continues to attract a lot of interest within the sector.

The morning sessions are presented by HESA and the Student Loans Company.

Alison Allden will consider the strategic issues facing HESA and set out some of her thinking for the direction of the Agency , addressing key strategic issues and interactions with the higher education sector over the coming years. Andy Youell will cover some of the current issues regarding the development and processing of HESA data streams and the dissemination of data through heidi.

From the SLC Graeme Lindsay, Product Consultant, HEI Services, Anne Thomson, Relationship Manager, Gareth Ferrier, Lead Technical Consultant and Elaine Dell, Senior Business Systems Analyst will all be speaking. Their predominate focus will on their new online process for HEIs for confirm ongoing attendance, complete change of circumstance notifications and view financial reports on-line, known as the Student Information Service. They will also touch on other SLC developments including those for Courses, Bursaries and the Financial Information Service.

There will be a joint question and answer session with HESA and the SLC.

The afternoon sessions are given over to UCAS, where Liz Henderson-Jones, Technical Services Manager, and Leanne MacNamara, Technical Support Manager will report on UCAS service delivery and provide an overview of UCAS IT services.
