UCISA Groups
UCISA provides an umbrella for a wide range of group activities from formal constituted groups (Special Interest Groups), to groups that provide a forum for collaboration across a number or related organisations in a key area for the sector (Liaison Groups), to small groups set up to co-ordinate a specific tasks as a service to UCISA members (Working Parties). In addition there are reserved areas of this site that serve a particularly community of interest within UCISA such as the membership and senior management.
The Executive Committee oversees the Association's activities and is responsible for occasional workshops, the website, mailing lists, and the annual Management Conference. A group drawing on the experience and shared knowledge of staff in the areas of Business and Corporate Information Systems IG is the focal point for activities that sit between the hardware and application programs. Monitoring and promotion of the communications network, associated network services and network security An advisory body to develop value for money in ICT purchasing. Information and activities on the training and personal development of staff. The purpose of UCISA-SSG is to help UCISA members get the most from information, technology-enhanced learning, and computer mediated communication systems. The Annual Conference Organising Group takes care of arrangements for UCISA's yearly management conference.
