By train 
Harrogate is located midway between Leeds and York, with regular commuter train services on the local line between York, Harrogate and Leeds operated by Northern Rail. There are two trains an hour between Harrogate and Leeds plus one an hour between Harrogate and York during most of the day, with extra services at peak times. Both journeys are about 30 minutes. National Express operate half-hourly train services from London Kings Cross to both Leeds and York during most of the day with a journey time of about 2 hours. National Express also operate regular services from Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Inverness to York.  There are usually two trains an hour between Edinburgh and York. Cross Country trains run from the South West and South Coast of England and South Wales through the Midlands to Leeds and York and then onward to the North East and Scotland. There are usually two trains an hour between Birmingham and Leeds or York. Transpennine Express trains run from Liverpool and Manchester via Leeds and York to Newcastle and other towns across the North East and Yorkshire. Manchester Airport to Leeds is about 80 minutes. Change in Leeds City Station on to the Northern Line as above.

By bus
Harrogate is well served from many areas of the UK by the National Express Coach service.  Visit www.nationalexpress.com for full details of direct services and connections via Leeds.  A regular Bus Service runs from Leeds Bus Station to Harrogate - the No 36 Bus Route - which is served by a distinctive double-decker bus with leather seats that travels between Leeds and Harrogate throughout the day. The nearest bus stop to the Harrogate International Centre is Cheltenham Crescent, just after passing the new Exhibition Hall. There is also an Express Bus Service between York and Harrogate the X54 service.  Visit www.harrogateanddistrict.co.uk for timetables. By plane
Closest airport is Leeds Bradford Interantional Airport and then a  taxi to Harrogate will take approximately 20 minutes. A regular bus service
Bus2Jet runs between the two destinations.

By car

Harrogate Town Centre is 7 miles (11km) west of the A1(M) London-Edinburgh motorway at Junction 47.  Take the A59 west near Knaresborough and enter Harrogate Town Centre on the A661 Wetherby Road. Then follow brown direction signs for Harrogate International Centre.  Harrogate is about 19 miles (30km) north of the M62 motorway.  From M62 Junction 29 take the M1 north until it joins the A1(M) and then proceed northwards past Wetherby to Junction 47 and take the A59 west as above. For local traffic, Harrogate is near the crossroads of the A61 between Leeds and Ripon and the A59 between York and Skipton.  The Harrogate International Centre is on Kings Road, just 250m east off the A61 Ripon Road at the bottom of Parliament Street.
  There is a large car park at the Centre, plus two more car parks with 5 minutes walk. Harrogate International Centre car parking charges are up to 3 hrs - £4.00, up to 6 hrs - £7.50, up to 12 hours - £11.50, up to 24 hrs  - £13.00. Parking at the Majestic Hotel is £5 per 24 hours.
