Ongoing Digital Economy activity UCISA has responded to a number of consultations on the Digital Economy Act since it was first raised by the then Department for Department of Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform in 2008. Although it is still being implemented, the Commons Select Committee on Culture, Media and Sport announced a review of the Act in late 2010. UCISA submitted evidence to the Committee but the inquiry was suspended pending the outcomes of legal action regarding the provisions of the Act. Although the initial review was completed earlier in the year, BT and TalkTalk have been given leave to appeal the ruling.
