Call for expressions of interest – Case Studies on Engaging Academics in using Technology Enhanced Learning

We’ve all heard comments like 'We put on great courses - and can't fill them!', 'Teaching is always going to take second place to research for academics' and 'Academics just don't have time to attend our courses'. So, how can we reach out to academics and persuade them to devote time and effort to enhancing their teaching through technology? What works? And what is scalable/affordable?

The Academic Support Group (ASG) of the UCISA Support Services Group is putting together a set of case studies demonstrating best practice in engaging with academics and other e-learning users in the use of technology enhanced learning. The case studies will be published as part of a best practice guide and authors will be invited to present their case study at a workshop in December 2011.

A prize of £500 will be awarded to the best case study, with two runners-up prizes of £250. Note: only institutions that are members of UCISA are eligible to win a prize.

You are invited to submit an expression of interest in putting together a case study for us. For information about the types of case studies we are interested in and how to submit your expression of interest see: http://www.ucisa.ac.uk/groups/ssg/asg/casestudies.

The deadline for expressions of interest is Monday 13th June 2011.
