Advisory and IT Support Symposium 2011
28 June 2011
- 29 June 2011
Gillespie Centre, Clare College, Cambridge
We are delighted to invite you to the Advisory and IT Support Staff Symposium 2011 which will be held over two days at the Gillespie Centre in Clare College, Cambridge.
The event draws on the strengths of both the UCISA Service Desk Group and the Distributed IT Support Staff (DITSS) Subgroup. The organisers have put together a programme which aims to address the needs of staff involved in the delivery, management or planning of advisory services in IT departments, libraries and MIS departments and distributed IT support staff working individually or in small groups away from the main centres. The programme explores issues of common interest and also provides a mix of parallel sessions to allow delegates to pick which items best address their individual needs.
The theme for the symposium, "Looking out, looking in - shared services and collaboration", builds on the theme of last year’s SSG/SDG User Support Conference “Delivering excellent services in hard times”.
Clare College, founded in 1326, is Cambridge's second oldest college. The college has beautiful buildings (most dating from the 17th century) and delightful gardens. Clare Bridge spans the Cam, connecting the old part of the college to Memorial Court, the location of the Gillespie Conference Centre and our accommodation. The symposium dinner will be held in the college's Great Hall giving us a chance to experience the old part of the college.
There will be many opportunities to network with colleagues during the event; please do take the opportunity to discuss issues, solutions and the presentations and workshops with fellow delegates.
We very much hope that you will join us at the Advisory and IT Support Staff Symposium 2011!
Please contact UCISA Administration (admin@ucisa.ac.uk) with any questions.
