The delivery of high stakes e-assessment remains a key challenge to support staff within higher education and is recognised as such by e-learning managers, as evidenced through their responses to the 2008 UCISA TEL survey. E-assessment figures in the top 6 concerns identified by respondents to the UCISA Technology Enhanced Learning survey in relation to new demands for support, and is highlighted as a key support challenge for staff and students over the next 2-3 years. The proposed event will offer the opportunity to discuss the challenges and support issues bound up with e-assessment, with a focus on high stakes (summative) activity. It will showcase best practice and provide valuable take-aways for staff in the form of practical lessons learned to inform institutional policies and processes.
Who is this workshop for? The event will be of benefit to e-learning managers and support staff responsible for the management of e-assessment systems, including both learning technology and IT support staff.
