Of particular interest to both Estates and IT Teams, this one day workshop presents a series of case studies from UCISA members who have developed, or installed networked solutions to address campus security. Aimed at identifying and overcoming the challenges, sessions will feature the deployment of the latest CCTV, Packet Radio, Building Management and Access Control systems over a shared IP network (wired and wireless). Presenters will outline real solutions and offer practical deployment tips on technology design, “Green” considerations, performance optimisation, as well as highlighting the potential pitfalls.
We hope this event will provide you with a better understanding of how security management applications can leverage the network, and how your Estates and IT teams can best approach these opportunities within your institution. Presentations will explore issues of concern with current hot topics explained and described by community members.
