SharePoint is described by Microsoft as a Swiss army knife of information management systems

The excellent Eduserv investigation into the use of Microsoft SharePoint in Higher Education Institutions published in January 2010, identified that the vast majority of UK HEIs are now making some use of SharePoint 2007 either as organic implementations growing over time or corporate implementations to address specific objectives such as a portal or intranet. http://www.northumbria.ac.uk/static/5007/ceispdf/SPfinal.pdf

This seminar is targeted for both those thinking about implementing SharePoint from scratch, extending the functionality of their existing implementation or upgrading to 2010.

The day will aim to identify pre requisites, best practice, dos and don’ts and experiences from a number of HEIs and SharePoint implementers (leading Microsoft partners).
