CISG - HESA, SLC and UCAS Briefing
21 May 2008 John Foster Hall, University of Leicester
We are pleased to announce the continuation of the tripartite approach which brings together HESA, SLC and UCAS to give them a platform to report on current developments and future plans, and to respond to the queries and concerns of delegates.
The target audience is senior managers with responsibilities in these areas of development, giving them the opportunity to discuss issues with representatives from the three organizations and with colleagues within the sector.
This seminar is very much a regular feature in the UCISA-CISG calendar and continues to attract a lot of interest within the sector.
The morning sessions are presented by HESA and the Student Loans Company.
Robin Sibson (Chief Executive) will provide an update on strategic developments at HESA, as well as an update on MIAP and the work of the new DCSF/DIUS Information Standards Board. Andy Youell (Director of Quality and Development) will report on the implementation of the new Student Record and the new ITT record and he will look ahead to some of the changes planned beyond 2008.
Speakers from SLC will be Wallace Gray, ICT Director, and Colin Clive, IT Products Development Manager. Their presentation entitled Student Loans Company Development Programme will provide delegates with information on SLC's corporate development programme, its ICT Infrastructure and Development Approach and IT Development Schedule for HEIs, 2008-2010.
The afternoon sessions are given over to UCAS.
Phil Theobald (Service Support Manager) and Kate Houston (Customer Services Manager) will report on UCAS service delivery. Steve Harrop (Strategy & Innovation Manager) will provide an overview of UCAS IT services and future plans.
