There has been, as part of the IT industry’s move towards professionalism, an increased trend towards the adoption of standards. The Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) has emerged as the standard for service management and has evolved into the standard BS ISO/IEC 20000.
This Forum is intended to raise awareness of ITIL and BS ISO/IEC 20000 and its benefits and to help inform the UCISA Executive on whether there is a requirement to develop a Toolkit along the lines of the Information Security Toolkit to 'map' ITIL onto the HE model.
