Top Concerns

Every two years UCISA invites its community to take part in a survey to determine those matters which are of real concern to its members.  The UCISA Top Concerns Survey was first run in 2003/4, was repeated in 2004/5 and has been run biannually ever since. 

The most recent survey took place in November/December 2010 wih a total of 66 responses from 58 institutions. 73% of respondents were IT/IS Directors or equivalent and the others senior IT/IS managers.

The results of the 2010/11 survey have now been published. It is not surprising, given the current economic climate, that financial issues dominate with Ongoing funding and sustainable resourcing of IT the greatest concern and Delivering services under severe financial constraint the second ranked issue. IT Strategy and planning and Providing a quality, resilient service also ranked highly.
