UCISA24 Awards Outstanding Corporate Member

Outstanding Corporate Member

The UCISA Award for the Outstanding Corporate Member recognises a business that has worked in partnership, delivering exceptional services that have positively impacted an institution or the sector.

Courseloop (Nominated by University of Greenwich, LJMU, NTU and University of Surrey)

Greenwich - We have engaged with colleagues at CourseLoop for a couple of years now, they consistently demonstrate an openness to partnership and a willingness to listen that makes them a deserved winner of Corporate Member of the Year. CourseLoop continues to engage with their counterparts from across the sector which is refreshing and what the sector needs in times of change.

LJMU - This submission spotlights CourseLoop's outstanding implementation approach and the transformative impact of their modular platform on expediting the build-up of our curriculum management capability. We approached CourseLoop seeking a strategic partner that understood our curriculum management challenges and requirements, and could provide a comprehensive yet robust solution. In CourseLoop, we have found a partner with the perfect blend of tech and sector expertise to help us confidently tackle these challenges and realise the benefits of digital transformation in end-to-end curriculum management.

NTU - CourseLoop has distinguished itself as a leader in curriculum management, both through their technology and the expertise of their team. It is through these that Nottingham Trent University (NTU) believes this nomination has merit. CourseLoop offered true end-to-end curriculum management capability with a central management of curriculum information that delivered improved efficiency, improved management information and improved monitoring and quality assurance. In addition to the rich functionality of the CourseLoop Platform, the modularity of the platform provided a straightforward pathway for implementation. In addition, the Courseloop team were and continue to be, great to work with, they listen to our needs and really understand the sector and its challenges.

Surrey - The University of Surrey does not, in fact, use Courseloop but I have consistently been impressed by the level of sector alignment demonstrated by them, however, and their willingness to support the creation of communities, bringing CIOs together, and their interest in the overall benefit of the sector. Their approach to the UK HE market is nurturing, growing, supporting, and very culturally aware. They appear deeply and legitimately interested in how the sector operates, in supporting UCISA itself, and in making a difference.

Fulcrum Digital (Nominated by London Southbank University)

Fulcrum has been a strategic partner of London Southbank University for over three years where the team has been an extended branch to LSBU IT department providing subject matter expertise to the Salesforce platform.

They have helped gain over one thousand university users onto the Service Cloud platform meaning we have joined up operations and a single data set allowing us to improve the student experience and to use data to inform decisions. Applying layers of automation we have automated intervention mechanisms that have helped improve student retention and allowing us to build customised profiles of our students and tailoring our numerous services around the individual.

The partnership has made a substantial impact to the university, providing over 400,000 extra data points on students. This is an incredibly rich data set that is helping to shape better student services and driving our roadmaps and strategy.

ITGL (Nominated by Coventry University)

ITGL's collaborative engagement with Coventry University has significantly transformed the University's Clearing process, leading to record numbers of conversations and demonstrating a commitment to innovation and student-centric solutions. This partnership aligns perfectly with the criteria set forth by the UCISA Awards, which recognise outstanding achievements in technology and digital solutions in education.

ITGL's work with Coventry University embodies the spirit of the UCISA Award for Outstanding Corporate Member. It showcases a business working in partnership to deliver exceptional services with a significant positive impact on an institution and the broader sector. This nomination is a testament to ITGL's vision, innovation, and commitment to transforming educational experiences through technology.

Norman Managed Services (University of the Arts London)

It is with great pleasure that we nominate Norman Managed Services for the "Outstanding Corporate Member" award, underscoring the contributions they have made as a trusted partner to the University of the Arts London (UAL).

A key aspect of this is Norman’s continuous and mindful approach to knowledge management, maintenance of knowledge is vital to the services we and Norman provide however is no small task. Norman’s proactivity benefits the strength of the services delivered but also gives us confidence that they can offer services on our behalf without required us to maintain multiple knowledge sources.

Particularly noteworthy is our deepened collaboration during the start of the term for the academic year 2023-2024. Norman proposed an alternative way for us to manage our start of term peak, Norman provided an additional service to complement our team during the day, the team at Norman handled our most numerous and transactional enquiries allowing our team to focus on adding maximum value by handling complex enquiries.

In conclusion, Norman Managed Services has proven over many years to be more than a service provider; they are a strategic partner invested in the success of UAL. We firmly believe that their commitment to understanding, supporting, and innovating alongside UAL makes them a deserving candidate for the "Outstanding Corporate Member" award.
