Web Services Group

...

Who we are

UCISA's Web Services Group brings together and supports UCISA members involved in the development, delivery, and management of Web Services. Web Services encompasses many different roles and teams across Further and Higher Education and anyone who feels they play a part in the delivery of Web Services at their institutions is welcome to join. The Group promotes dialogue, networking, knowledge sharing and collaboration on topics of common interest.

What we do

We are planning to organise annual or one-off events for UCISA members to engage key stakeholders and improve the understanding and operation of Web Services across the sector. These will include short online webinar-type events and longer online or in-person events, either national or local/regional. We are open to the development of local or subject-specific sub-groups to aid specialism development and the adoption of new technologies and ideas. And through community-focussed events and activities we will produce toolkits, best practice, and other valuable outputs for members.

Get involved

The Group is open to anyone involved with Web Services within their institution. Get involved to engage with like-minded colleagues and peers, make connections and share best practice.

Sign up via this form and you will be added to a new MS Team, which is looked after by the Web Services Committee members, where you will be able to collaborate, share knowledge and exchange views and opinions on topics of value to the wider community.

Member Email lists

Group discussion lists are to be used by members to discuss subjects of common interest. People entitled to join the list are members of Full and Affiliate member institutions (ie not Corporate members). The lists should not be used to advertise or promote Corporate member or non-members events/services/products. These should be posted via the UCISA-announce list.
